Incomplete Control is about letting go, allowing room for error and imperfection. It is a meditation on the relation between analogue and computational aesthetics. The output space is a continuous spectrum. Each iteration has its own character to discover and enjoy, if you are willing to give it the time.

Incomplete Control

Digital 3D light sculpture made of a sphere in a cube. Using noise algorithms, the sphere gets displaced to reveal it's colorful glowing core and illuminates it's environment, creating an endless organic and soothing real-time animation. The transaction hash value is used to determine the scale and octave of the noise, the color palette and the amount of displacement. Created with threejs and GLSL shaders. A WebXR viewer will be available to see the artwork in 3D on desktop, mobile, AR and VR and take high res screenshots. This artwork will be released via Dutch Auction, with the price starting at 1.5Ξ dropping in 0.1Ξ increments every 5 minutes until 0.1Ξ.

Lava Glow

Fermented Fruit is a generative art series designed to live on the Ethereum blockchain and to be rendered in real-time by the browser. Just as food is transformed by microorganisms during the process of fermentation, the substrate of the HTML canvas is broken up into parts and transformed by cellular patterns. The project features the simulated lifeforms of cellular automata that evolve and shape-shift down an asymmetrical grid. The final artwork juxtaposes a number of textured cellular automata patterns against one another within a singular composition.

Themes of gender & sexuality expressed in a symbol of luck, fate, a cosmic slot machine. Luck of the mint, art of the flip to explain the randomness of one’s unique traits. The fruit of the slots to the binary I Ching of 8 sides & planetary gender. These traits are in the art & in us. They might seem imperfect but their unique lucky combination give each a power no one else has.
