We’re excited to announce Art Blocks Marfa Weekend is returning October 16–19, 2025. For four years, the high desert of West Texas has served as both canvas and catalyst for our community, and we’re honored to continue this tradition in Marfa. 

When & Where

The Weekend begins Thursday, October 16th with check-in and welcome events. We’ll have two full days of programming on Friday and Saturday, followed by farewells Sunday morning. Marfa, located in the heart of far West Texas, has been our host since 2021. Despite its small population of under 2000, the town has earned international recognition as a contemporary art destination, making it the perfect backdrop for our gathering of artists, collectors, and enthusiasts.

What’s New

This year, we’re proud to announce that Marfa Weekend will support the Generative Art Foundation. As always, our event remains free and open to all who wish to attend. This year we’re adding optional paid tiers that come with additional experiences and goodies for those who want to support the efforts of the Foundation. Born from the same spirit of innovation that drives Art Blocks, the Generative Art Foundation is an independent nonprofit organization that works to elevate generative art through education, preservation, and creating opportunities for artists. This partnership feels especially meaningful in Marfa—a place that has long been a beacon for artistic experimentation and community gathering. Accommodations

We recommend securing your lodging as soon as possible. While Marfa offers the most walkable experience, nearby Fort Davis and Alpine are excellent alternatives, each with their own selection of hotels and unique West Texas charm. If you prefer vacation rentals, new Airbnb listings typically become available in the months leading up to the event, but we encourage early and frequent searching as properties book quickly.

Getting Here & Around

El Paso and Midland/Odessa are the closest airports to Marfa, each about a 3-hour drive away. Rental car availability can become extremely limited as the event approaches, so we strongly recommend booking your vehicle well in advance.
