'transparency' is a generative artwork that explores the connection between the fundamental elements of art and the viewer's perception of it. square figures, like pixels forming a picture, create prefigurative, fuzzy images with watercolor motifs. through the use of shapes, colors, and composition, the artwork aims to create a visual language that allowing to perceive it on a subconscious level.

the use of square figures in 'transparency' is reminiscent of the basic things we drew as children, creating a sense of nostalgia and simplicity. the overlapping transparent rectangles add a sense of depth and tonal variety to the piece. the artwork pushes the boundaries of imitation of a drawing technic by incorporating a watercolor effect, adding a uniqness and lightness to it. the overall aim of this project is to create a visually striking and engaging composition with simple forms and colors that tries to break new ground aesthetically.

influenced by pioneers of various media such as Paul Klee, Anni Albers, Hilma af Klint, and Alexey Pajitnov, the artwork is an expression of emotion in a way that connects with the viewer on a primal level. it is an exploration of the fundamental relationship between art, emotions and the ability of forms and colors to evolve.

Beachy dreamscape vibes. 50% of the minting sales proceeds for Stipple Sunsets were directly sent to GiveDirectly, a non-profit that sends money directly to the worlds poorest and most in need–50% of subsequent artist royalties will be be donated to charities in the Rocky Mountain region.

my finger stirred the pool. 
iridescent specks at this distance. 
molecules separated by infinities, 
attracted by a gentle gesture. 
matter built on reducible complexity, 
remarkable what emerges from the soup.

the specks of light flash for a moment, 
then flame out. 
the arc of their burning wick 
painting pictures; 
heating arguments;
bleeding in the darkness. 

helpless to start or stop anything, 
bodies in motion, 
tending to stay in motion,
until the fuel runs out.

# can there be beauty in pain?
Flora, Fauna, False gods & Floods continues a theme I began in Beauty in the Hurting. When turbulent acts of god subvert best-laid plans, is there beauty in the broken images of life we leave behind?

Left alone, these images would resolve to nearly symmetrical dreamlike ink blots of meaning:  a flower, a feathered creature, or a figure of worship. In fact, what is most beautiful in their image may lay outside the frame.

flora, fauna, false gods & floods

Initially worn by miners and cowboys, roughly half of the world’s population wears denim on a given day, and the range of styles is–literally–endless. A new pair of jeans might be acid bleached, sandblasted, stonewashed, or tie-dyed; it can have hand-sanded rips and tears, followed by visible mendings, patches, intentional paint stains, and more. In an epic attempt to crack the genetic code of denim, Jenim playfully but carefully observes and translates the warp and weft of denim into generative code, weaving unique iterations of irregular, distorted, or hyper-realistic textile crops.

Ironically, imitating aging, a pair of jeans produced today generates more pollution and labor than most average garments. In response, Jenim’s minted iterations go beyond wearables and into infinity. Each year that passes, the color might fade slightly; the rips might expand. Who knows what these artworks will look like ten or even fifty years from now?
