Inspired by traditional Chinese architecture and Chinese painting, this project uses algorithms to generate window lattices with different patterns and blossoms and trees with different postures. Together with the possible rain and snow scenes, they constitute a corner with oriental aesthetic charm. These scenes are dynamic, such as slowly moving window frames, tree-growing, raining. We can imagine being indoors, watching the shaky tree shadow outside the window, or looking into the window from the same perspective as the current picture. Maybe we are looking into memories, maybe we are looking into hopes, anyone can write their own poems.

Through the Window

Spiromorphs are procedural roulette figures that investigate aesthetic relationships between form, symmetry and rotary motion. Variations are plotted using chained circles that overlay periodic continuous curves on an empty universe. The dynamic engine generates emergent morphologies of different colors and types while producing irregular yet harmonic forms. Charity: 5% of sales will be donated to National Alzheimer’s Foundation, a nonprofit organization helping families who suffer from neurological diseases.

Recursion is a generative art project whose concept is recursion. Each variation starts with a block which is irregularly divided into smaller blocks, which are then divided into smaller blocks, which are then divided into smaller blocks, etc, based on a defined depth (to better visualize this concept, take a look at https://hevey.art/blog/recursion-concept). In this project, even the script is recursive! The script is able to generate a large number of variations and each of these variations is then able to generate its own variations (keeping the same properties) with a single click on the image.

_100 PRINT_ is a nonfigurative, abstract generative drawing system based on the principles of visual perspective. Each edition is made up of carefully constructed lines and shapes that fit into a multidimensional world created on the fly, inviting the viewer to let their eyes wander and find pockets of what appear to be deliberately constructed objects in 3D space. _100 PRINT_ is an experimental project that draws inspiration from a wide variety of sources, including cubist and abstract expressionist artworks, printer test sheets, and Escher sketches. It represents a raw display of powerful drawing principles that have governed the construction of many artworks before it.
