𝕃𝕪𝕔𝕠𝕣𝕚𝕤𝕖𝕤 is a series of generative artworks inspired by Ernst Haeckel‘s illuminating illustrations on biological evolutions. Combining the visual language of microscopic organisms and flowers, the Lycorises artworks aim to represent the intricacies of life and how it constantly evolves.  
Each color palette reflects the unique structure of 𝕃𝕪𝕔𝕠𝕣𝕚𝕤𝕖𝕤 specifically evolved in its environments, including the volcano, alien desert, or cyberspace.  These environments encouraged the growth of characteristic features, such as spikes, feathers, and leaves, that protect the Lycoris seed.

<h3>A Note From The Artist</h3>
<p>I spent a career in healthcare. I served for over a decade as a web application designer and developer for a large dialysis company working alongside frontline healthcare workers. But, I spent what felt like a lifetime in children’s hospitals from 2009-2014, sitting with my young son Joel, as he endured chemotherapy and long in-patient stays in the hospital.  I’ve lived on both sides of the bedside, and I’ve come to deeply respect the healthcare profession.</p>

The Colors That Heal

**Drifting Dreams** is a generative art system that captures bittersweet moments along journeys to dreams.

You can feel the river rushing, the wind screaming, and thunder lighting up the sky: the storm is about to take over. But if you look closer, it is also a wonderland filled with dazzling rainbows, comforting warmth, and hope.

It is a journey worth remembering.

The **Spongenuity Portrait Lab** was hosted by Bright Moments in July 2022. 
Every generative portrait in this collection is of a person who came IRL to the London gallery that month. 
Each person was photographed, and each photograph was generatively converted into a one line drawing, which was then plotted in real time.

The Portrait Lab was an amazing opportunity to embrace and explore the link between physical and digital and with these outputs I hope to explore a little further.

The pieces are a live animation, following the same path that the plotter did during the session, however, when in live mode, there are 3 outputs that you can trigger.

Press " 2 " for a .svg output ( so you can plot your own )
Press " 3 " for a .dst output (Generative Embroidery), This will trigger a live converter in your browser and give you a file that you can use to embroider your piece.
