The Art Blocks Community Team had a successful first MOD retreat in L.A. from February 16–19th. Art Blocks staff was joined by seven incredible Discord Community Leaders who traveled from across the U.S., and one member even made the journey from Europe. The group of eleven visited The Broad, Bright Moments, Pace Gallery, Jen Stark’s studio, LACMA, and Frieze Los Angeles. A major highlight was a new exhibit at the LACMA titled Coded: Art Enters the Computer Age, 1952–1982. It’s an inspiring exhibition that explores the early stages of the intersection of computer technology and art and adds perspective and relevance to the work generated by Art Blocks artists.

The weekend was a celebration of the beloved Community Leaders who are vital to the community experience at Art Blocks. These individuals ensure the Discord server is both a fun and safe place to gather and discuss generative art. They are an extension of the Art Blocks family ❤️.
