Five years ago, three artists launched the first projects on Art Blocks. Erick Calderon (Snowfro), Daniel Calderon Arenas (DCA), and Jeff Davis created Chromie Squiggle, Genesis, and Construction Token.
On November 27, 2025 - Thanksgiving in the US, our five-year anniversary - those same three artists will mint token zero for the final projects of Art Blocks 500.
True to the Explorations category, these final three projects are free to claim starting December 1 based on the achievements you've earned with Art Blocks over the past five years.

The Explorations category has always been about experimentation and risk-taking. These final three projects honor that tradition.
1,000 artworks | Launches December 1

An homage to color across the entire Curated collection. Each piece pays tribute to a different Curated project from Art Blocks' first five years, translating its chromatic identity into geometric studies.
Jeff's algorithm replicates how he actually works by hand: using rulers and flat brushes for precision, methodically mixing colors from a core set of paints. You see the pencil guidelines, the painted rectangles, the black outlines. The digital process mirrors the analog one completely.

"The drawings are equal parts technical investigation and emotional introspection as a way to more fully understand my history with Art Blocks over the last five years," Jeff explains. "In the end, the full series of drawings becomes the monument itself."
It's a full circle moment - connecting the digital techniques Jeff uses today with where he started as a painter working with traditional materials. Each piece references a specific Curated project's color palette, creating a visual catalog of five years of generative art.

1,000 artworks | Launches December 8
Unearth your world. Arrange what you find. Your collection becomes the artwork.
A fully on-chain generative system where you navigate as Diggly, an imaginary digging creature who scours the land searching for rare finds. Natural treasures, unexpected objects, mysterious items. Upon gathering an assortment, Diggly arranges them into a collection to display on a shelf.

Using Post Params, your assembled collection becomes the ownership-defining token artwork. The game isn't separate from the NFT - the game IS the NFT. Your choices, your arrangement, your collection.
Each token represents a completely unique and deterministic world full of unexpected finds. Part simulation, part artwork, part collecting game. It's a celebration of searching, finding, arranging, and sharing - the same behaviors that built Art Blocks itself.

Up to 65,535 artworks | Launches December 15
Every collector becomes a co-creator in this on-chain network experiment.
A conceptual artwork celebrating the digital art community and the technology that connects us. Every collector contributes their presence, energy, and intention to a network of interdependent artworks running on Ethereum.

Here's how it works: Each artwork is alive to the global state of the network. Block by block, the balance between "sending" and "receiving" across all tokens determines what each piece displays.
You create a 64×64 pixel sprite to represent yourself. You can compose a four-track audio tune. Then you choose: send, receive, or both.
"The more you take, the less others receive. The less you take, the more others receive," Erick explains. "The system reflects these choices instantly, on-chain, creating an ever-shifting portrait of community intention."
It's an experiment in using networked art to make empathy visible, felt, and shared. Every token is connected to every other token. Your choice affects everyone else's artwork in real-time.

All three projects are free to claim based on achievements you earned before [DATE] at [TIME] ET. If you created your profile, connected your wallets, and claimed achievements before the snapshot, you're eligible.

Art Blocks 500 captures what artists achieved when they pushed on-chain constraints to their creative ceiling. These final three projects honor that history while pointing toward what's possible next.
Jeff's work documents five years of chromatic exploration. DCA's game celebrates the joy of collecting and curation. Snowfro's network makes community interdependence visible on-chain.
The circle closes. The foundation is complete.
