Han Saglam (also known as hanrgb) is an internet-based and generative artist working with algorithms, data, smart contracts, and autonomous systems. Since 2020, he has been exploring NFTs and onchain art as a native medium, using code not only as a tool but as the artwork itself.
He is known for pioneering 3D onchain generative works such as CryptoCubes, where he investigates the symbolic, structural, and creative potential of minimal forms within digital systems. His practice focuses on building self-contained, autonomous artworks that explore digital permanence, authorship, and ownership, treating smart contracts as living, self-executing programs.
Saglam’s work bridges digital and physical contexts through installations and computational artworks, including projects such as LightOnChain, which translate onchain logic into spatial and experiential forms. His approach reflects a deep engagement with the cultural and technical implications of emerging technologies, driven by an interest in experimentation, interaction, and systems-based thinking.
His works are included in the permanent collections of LACMA and Dataland Museum, have been presented internationally, and have exceeded estimated prices at major auction houses including Sotheby’s and Christie’s. He has collaborated with over a hundred artists, including GMUNK, Refik Anadol, Zach Lieberman, DeeKay, Erick Calderon, Raf Grassetti, Rik Oostenbroek, Six N. Five, and others.
